The commonly cited range for adults sits around 60–68 °F (15–20 °C), with 65 °F repeated so often it became a brand. Treat it as a starting range, not a law: bedding, sleepwear, humidity and the human next to you all shift the real answer. The honest test is not the thermostat display but the night itself — falling asleep without kicking blankets off, and not waking clammy at 3 a.m.
